I don't write many bad reviews, but this was pathetic. At one point a very valuable heirloom is taken and the protagonist just chose not to tell the people who could help. Stupid. The magic concepts are non starters. It's low key to the point that nobody knows it's happening. No action, low key magic, shallow characters and a weak sorry make this a series to avoid.Product details

Pool of Knowledge The Hidden Wizard Book 1 eBook Vaughan W Smith Reviews
I enjoyed the book, it took a little to long in the beginning of the book to get into the story, but as I read further the book came together quite well , love to read the rest of Alion's story.
The story concept, while very interesting, could be a bit better structured to move it along. The characters are believable, however, some words were missing or added, which created a re-read constantly of the sentences to understand what was spoken or stated. All-in-all, a pleasant tale!
cardboard characters in a cardboard world, flat people in a flat non-descript world, a waste of .99 cents. Painful to read. needs to be fleshed out 10 times more then it is.
A nice story. However some real planning of necessary actions seems to be missing logic. Thus leading to a sloppy story
Finding You are A Wizard is not easy, There is a lot to learn and many test and trails to become a good one. I love the adventure and travels that the story takes you. A great book I really enjoyed reading it and ready to read the next.
Enjoyable reading. Yes it did drag at points and not enough background on the father. But I believe that the point was for Alrion to learn from his mistakes and grow stronger. Will be reading more free this author.
The description had me interested and the prologue was well written. So I was prepared for an enjoyable tale. Unfortunately, the book did not deliver. The dialog was dull. The character interactions were implausible. Example We're supposed to believe that Alrion's dad lets his son go off to Wizard School without any argument after he himself spent his whole life avoiding wizards and magic. The reason for the change of heart is not explained within the first 17% of the book. That's the point where I decided to cut my losses and find something better to read. 2 stars for the concept and the prologue. No stars for the rest of the book.
I don't write many bad reviews, but this was pathetic. At one point a very valuable heirloom is taken and the protagonist just chose not to tell the people who could help. Stupid. The magic concepts are non starters. It's low key to the point that nobody knows it's happening. No action, low key magic, shallow characters and a weak sorry make this a series to avoid.
